Welcome to PacMoore’s blog!

This will be your go-to place for trends, news, statistics, and facts about everything related to contract manufacturing, contract packaging, the global food industry – and, of course, information about us and our solutions – from tolling to turnkey (and everything in between).

Here you’ll get to read about how passionate we are about our manufacturing and co-packaging solutions as well as gain insights from our deep industry expertise – all 18 years of it! To this day we are lean, mean, and at the forefront of our industry.

And the industry’s come a long way since the first packagers used….whatever was around: reeds were woven into baskets, animal skins held liquids (i.e. Bota bags), wooden boxes, pottery vases, ceramic amphorae, wooden barrels, woven bags, etc.

Thankfully, humans worked out some better solutions.

Like Nicolas Appert, who decided he was tired in 1809 of microorganisms consuming and populating his food. He observed that food cooked inside a jar did not spoil unless the seals leaked, and developed a method of sealing food in glass jars. Another Frenchman, Louis Pasteur, worked on a process to reduce the number of disease-causing pathogens in his food (aptly named pasteurization).

Now we have heat applications, refrigeration, freezing, drying, vacuum treatment, ionizing radiation, saline solution submersion, etc. etc. We also have a lot more people to feed and stringent standards for packaging and safety.

At PacMoore we understand this better than our competition. We know how to keep food fresh and your consumers safe; and we know how to do that across a wide range of equipment, with quick turnaround times, and with the utmost care regarding recipe secrecy and quality control. Simply, we make sure you actually get to sleep at night – rather than worry about your product’s integrity.
