Happy Birthday to PacMoore Process Technologies

Dear PacMoore Family:

PacMoore Food Manufacturing CompanyI want to make you aware of a significant milestone coming up this Friday. On April 1, 2006 we dedicated PacMoore Process Technologies, PPT, to the Lord and opened the facility for manufacturing. Our only customer at that time was National Starch. We opened with a small staff of about 25 people and three functional systems: blending room 1, repackaging room 1, and bulk unload. We generated about $2MM in sales that year but, as is the case with most new operations, we experienced an operating loss. It’s worth saying the Hammond plant carried PPT the first three years of operation.

Today PPT has over 150 employees running two blending lines, two repackaging lines, two spray dryers, a full-scale milling system, one bulk unload, and one bulk load-out system. We added 90,000 square feet of warehouse space in 2013 and an employee office building. Our sales are projected to be approximately $12MM this year with solid profitability. The full-scale extrusion line is under construction and is targeted to be operational in the third quarter of this year. We anticipate by next year the extruder will have added an impactful level of sales to the plant total. We will continue to gain a larger share of our markets as this plant increasingly offers food ingredient processing technology to the food world.

PPT Nov 2011 06bThe best of PPT is the incredible team God has provided. Adam Rawlins has anchored this team for nine years with great people like Kevin Zion and Budnita Boham who have been at PPT from the start. Wendy Fox has solidified the customer support staff for seven years. We have strong engineering and HR teams that did not exist when we opened that has given us tremendous depth. We support the local community by hiring men and women from the prison work release programs, and we annually support angel tree to help children whose parents are incarcerated. The Mooresville community knows PacMoore as a place of hope and compassion. The team at PPT is unified and incredibly committed to growing our people so we can be exceptionally good at feeding the world.

Please join me saying Happy Birthday PPT! Please also join me as we thank God for the gift of the great people and customers.

Thank you dear PacMoore family. Your hard work and commitment has created One PacMoore Company built on the solid foundation of two incredible plants and 350 incredible people!

I am proud and honored to be part of this wonderful family.

God’s Love and Blessings,

Bill

Bill Moore

CEO

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in chemical engineering, Bill became a product development engineer for Procter & Gamble in 1985. After the unexpected death of his stepfather, Bill left P&G to lead his stepfather’s company, George Meyer Company. He developed a functional ability to process recycled starch products, while also recognizing a need by many companies in the food industry for a trusted and capable contract manufacturing partner. Over the last 20 years Bill has evolved the company to meet this need by providing packaging, blending, spray drying, and extrusion.
