Glanbia plc has agreed to acquire Flavor Producers LLC for an initial consideration of $300 million plus deferred consideration. It is anticipated the transaction will close in the first half of 2024.
With a 40 year plus history, Flavor Producers is a leading independent flavor business in North America. Flavor Producers will operate within Glanbia Nutritionals, as does PacMoore Process Technologies and other recent Glanbia acquisitions including Sterling Technology, APS La Belle, and Foodarom.
Building on its Foodarom business’s current strengths in natural flavors and maskers in the nutrition and supplement space, the acquisition expands Glanbia Nutritionals’ offer by deepening its capability in the beverage and food categories with an extensive library of plant-based natural flavors, organic flavors, extracts, and essences.
The acquisition not only reflects Glanbia Nutritionals’ commitment to delivering better nutrition for a wide range of categories, applications and formats, but will also augment Glanbia Nutritionals’ flavor innovation, manufacturing, and regional reach in North America.
