Feeding the World by Growing People

The Effect of Broken Relationships on Food Supply

Global food supply must double by 2050 to meet the world demand driven by population growth.  PacMoore is part of the food ingredient supply chain in the United States.  We recognize our responsibility to be part of the solution to meet this significant need of feeding the world.

As we have explored global agriculture and food processing it has become abundantly clear that capital and equipment are not what will limit the global food supply chain.  The largest impediment is human suffering.  People everywhere including people in the USA are suffering from broken relationships.  Those broken relationships propagate an incredible amount of guilt, shame, hatred, and lost human potential.  Our ability to drive food processing is most severely hampered by the brokenness in the lives of the people on our teams and the communities we serve.

If you were to ask an employee what holds them back in meeting the daily goals at work the most common issues revolve around family, leadership, communication, and trust.  Even with the best equipment, abundant customers, and high quality training employee performance consistently falls short because of human issues.  Therefore, it’s imperative we address the issue of human suffering caused by broken relationships if we have any hope at feeding the world.

A Unique Approach – Training Focused on Relational Health

PacMoore Employee at Food Processing Plant in MooresvillePacMoore is passionately focused on growing people so we can be exceptionally good at feeding the world. Our focus is shifting to include in our manufacturing expertise a solid understanding of human suffering and relational health.  We are embarking on a new path by training our people on how to develop each other by listening, caring, and growing.  People have long thought that love was an emotional reaction accompanied by sexual engagement.  Love is in fact an intellectual decision to listen to another person, care for their needs, and help teach them new skills that foster growth.  We want to help re-establish what God had created in the beginning: love built on individual choice that drives human flourishing through high quality relationships.  Healthy relationships are the soil in which human nutrients are fed into the hearts and minds of all people.  The fruit of healthy relationships is peace, contentment, excellence, generosity, creativity, empathy, purpose, and longevity.  These are the fruits of healthy people that are flourishing.  This is the fruit that will feed the world.

PacMoore will be exceptionally good at feeding the world when we become exceptionally good at growing our people. To learn more about this vision, visit our Who We Are Page.
