Finding a Contract Manufacturer – Website Directories That Can Help

At PacMoore, our hope is that we will be able to provide solutions to any and every new project our customers bring to us. But we are not always the best fit. Trying to fit a square peg into a round hole never works and becomes a detriment to both customer and supplier. To that end, we always want to provide guidance for other alternatives – especially when their needs are not for dry blending, extrusion, spray drying, consumer packaging, or re-packaging. If this describes you, here are 6 websites which will help you navigate the wide world of contract packaging and manufacturing in the food industry.

Contract Manufacturing Directories

Contract Packaging and Manufacturing PacMoore1. F4SS’s Supplier Navigator (suppliernavigator.com)

Supplier Navigator was created by F4SS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving supply chain efficiency and enhancing collaboration between contract manufacturing suppliers and customers. You can search the site in a typical manner, or narrow it down first by industry category so that your search is not cluttered with suppliers from outside your industry.

2. Contract Packaging Association (contractpackaging.org)

The CPA is another nonprofit organization which supports the growth and welfare of the contract packaging industry and its member companies. Their website contains a Request for Quote function that allows users to enter project information and have it sent to a group of suppliers they can narrow down using a set of criteria.

3. ThomasNet (www.thomasnet.com)

ThomasNet is a well-established directory with a history dating back more than 100 years. You’ll find companies ranging across practically all industries and services. When you type in a word to search for a supplier, the search bar has a great suggestion function which helps narrow down your search.

4. Nulogy’s Co-Pack Map (contractpackaging.com)

If location is important to you, this site will be very helpful. The main search function is based on co-packer location, and you can view all suppliers on the map while you compare them.

5. PartnerSlate (partnerslate.com)

An extensive database of suppliers and manufacturers where food brands can send inquiries and quote requests. There is an option to sign up for a free account which is limited, or a paid plan with more freedom.

6. FoodCoPac (foodcopac.com)

This database of food co-packers is heavily based on search. If you need a very specific type of food packaging done, the detailed filters on this site will be a big help to you.
