Final Day in Nepal

Our final day in Nepal started early with a meeting of like-minded Christian business owners who are part of a group called Great Commission Companies. The group meets regularly but called a special meeting just to spend some time in fellowship and pray for us. It was very moving and we were extremely excited to see and hear the hearts of fellow business owners who share the message of Jesus Christ in their business.

Later in the morning we met with 3 men who were former agricultural ministers in the Nepal government and have now started a small food processing plant. While their facility is small relative to US standards it certainly provided hope to us as we were again shown that a processing plant can in fact work in Nepal. To further encourage us, we were able to follow that meeting by spending some time with two young men who had been educated in the US but moved back to Nepal because of the opportunities they saw to start businesses in their own country. It was great to hear their stories and to see the excitement in their faces for the future of Nepal.

Our day concluded by spending some time reviewing our trip and praying with Jacob. It was great to spend the past few days with him and we are extremely thankful for his hard work. We are also grateful to God for the community of friends He has put in Jacob’s life in Nepal. While it was difficult to say goodbye we are already excited about our next trip there. We pray God will continue to bless Jacob and will show us the path forward that will help us reach our goal of creating 5,000 jobs and sharing the Gospel along the way.
