Fluidized Spray Dryer (FSD™) - 4.0
One of the most successful designs of spray dryers ever developed, the FSD™ combines spray drying and fluid bed drying technologies and successfully dries even products that are extremely difficult to produce in powder form using conventional drying techniques.
Pressure nozzles or a rotary atomizer spray the feed down towards the fluid bed where agglomeration incorporating finer, recycled material takes place. Exhaust air outlet is let through the roof causing further agglomeration in the spray zone. This concept allows successful drying of sticky products and is ideal for drying heat-sensitive products. The FSD™ technology also allows for improved aroma retention and translates into excellent product flexibility and outstanding thermal efficiency.
The Fluidized Spray Dryer is perfect for dustless, free-flowing products with good redispersibility, as well as for agglomerated or granulated products. To ensure uncompromising hygienic standards, all components that come in contact with the product are made of 316 stainless steel.
